About

I love helping ag leaders tell their stories to the world.

Before starting Farm Bridge Communications in 2025, I served in leadership corporate communications roles at Syngenta Crop Protection North America and the Crop Science division of Bayer. At the latter, I helped shape the corporate external communications team for the U.S. region after the acquisition of Monsanto. At Syngenta, I helped lead farmer communication and issues.

Before entering corporate communications in 2004, I worked as a journalist. I had grown up yearning to travel the world reporting on complex issues, and that’s what I got to do: in Chicago, Atlanta, Boston, Budapest, Prague, Sydney, and lastly, in rural Illinois. This includes stints with Dow Jones Newswires, CNN Headline News, The Associated Press, business weeklies and local TV news.

In 2015, I also served as the Editor of Farm Journal Magazine and the Editorial Director of Farm Journal Media, one of the largest multi-platform trade brands in America and an icon for many farming families. I also supported the media and communications needs of the United Soybean Board (national soybean checkoff) and their Executive Team, and served as a food-and-ag issues monitor for vFluence, an interactive agency integral to the cause of sound-science in communications.

Education and Achievements: I hold bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Northwestern University’s well known Medill School of Journalism. I have served as a judge for industry-leading editorial content and have been a keynote speaker internationally on the challenges of corporate storytelling in adverse media environments (New York, 2022; Toronto, 2023; Ottawa, 2024).
